West Virginia Kayak Anglers adhere to the KBF Standards of competition.
How do the Judges do it?
KBF event competitors are familiar with the TourneyX user interfaces on smartphones and computer monitors. Not only is TourneyX evolving and continually improving, but Dwayne and his team are working on a TourneyX app that will make the competitor’s processes a lot easier and faster. We at WVKA will be using this state of the art software to help manage the season and help us track our Angler of the Year Race.
For our live events. The way the Individual and team divisions are scored is simply by pen and paper. At the conclusion of the tournament, Club Members will review each others fish and verify scores by official signature on a WVKA or other Official Club Scorecard as shown below. Club officials will judge and double check the submitted fish a second time for the Money Winners, validating the scores. Once completed, winning competitors will be presented Awards and prizes via Awards. WVKA has decided to rotate judges at each event as to not have one sole person in charge of the scoring therefore to eliminate any personal biases.
ALL of our ONLINE Challenge events will use TourneyX.com software.. WVKA has decided to rotate judges for each monthly event as to not have one sole person in charge of the scoring therefore to eliminate any personal biases.
